As the director and founder of Australian Workplace Safety Solutions (AWSS) I commenced my professional career as a cabinet maker where I handcrafted high end furniture.

However, whilst working on a construction site I suffered a serious workplace injury where I fell several meters that resulted in significant injuries to my back and feet.

Following my injuries, I required multiple surgeries and treatment that included several months of recovery in a wheelchair prior to learning to walk again.

After several months of recovery, I reflected on my career and commenced retraining in workplace safety.

My firsthand experiences with my own injures in addition to my trade background shaped my approach to workplace safety that is a “practical application & relationships first approach”.

I have now worked in workplace safety & injury management across many different industries for over 20 years and continue to contribute to safe workplace across Australia & New Zealand.
